WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We invite you to ride at your own pace the spectacular la Plata Greenway, a route of 24 km in gentle descent, easy and ideal for a good time with family and friends. Palmira will be waiting for you in Hervás to prepare the bicycles, transfer you to Béjar and advise you and inform you of everything you will find on the route.
Did you know that the la Plata Greenway is a route that crosses the mountains of Castilla y León and Extremadura along the route of a century-old railway? You will pass through Béjar, Puerto de Béjar station, Baños de Montemayor station and Hervás station, discovering its history and past. When you reach Hervás you will have the option to continue to Aldeanueva del Camino, with 7 km more of descent.
An exciting route following the course of an old 19th century railway, crossing bridges, lush chestnut and oak forests, rivers and gorges. A very fun and safe experience that you can do on a traditional bike, e-bike or electric tricycle, the choice is yours!

Making your own oil in a real mini oil mill.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will spend a day in Marchagaz with the master miller where you can see, learn and ask all those secrets that have made it possible for the local oil to be awarded and internationally recognized as one of the best oils in the world. You will be able to see the whole process necessary for the extraction of the oil in a mini oil mill, and if it is olive season, you will go to pick the olives to transform them into oil and if not, they will be preserved for the activity.
You will visit an old olive mill and a modern one, learning about the differences and similarities between the two types of mills. You will have a miller’s soup for breakfast and a typical miller’s meal in the mill of the north of the province of Cáceres.
And back home, you will return with the oil that you have made yourselves, more than 5 litters of mono varietal oil manzanilla cacereña!

You will fall in love with the waters and the skies in the Baños de Montemayor reservoir, an ideal place to relax in the Ambroz Valley. You will enjoy the sunset with an interpreted kayak route, watching a unique sunset surrounded by green nature. On your way you will observe the varied vegetation found on the slopes of the Ambroz Valley: the chestnut tree in the lower part and the oak in the higher areas. In addition, you will also discover the Pinajarro peak, the highest you will see from the reservoir, and at the bottom of the valley you will contemplate the town of Hervás, a charming village.
You will make a stop to dry off, put on comfortable clothes and recharge your batteries with a tasting of local products, while we will prepare our powerful telescopes to go deep into our sky, guided by our Starlight monitors. An enjoyment of nature with the knowledge of the universe, a guided and didactic astronomical observation in full contact with nature.
