Getting to know the guts of a paprika factory from the hand of its owner, Juan Ramón.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In the region of Ambroz-Cáparra Valley, the plant brought by Cristóbal Colón from America on his third voyage adapted perfectly to the area’s particular microclimate.
Juan Ramón will welcome you in his paprika factory to show you the process of production and elaboration of paprika. You will see up close the machine room where this delicious traditional condiment of Extremadura is produced, here you will discover the process of grinding and final packaging. At Pimentón Santo Domingo, their harvests are scrupulously selected throughout the entire process, from the moment of sowing to the subsequent packaging, taking care of the traditional cultivation techniques, both in fertilizers, harvesting and smoke drying, using the most advanced production methods, to purify the final product to the maximum.
The aroma denotes subtleties of smoked and finally its flavour is refined and evolving, stimulating the palate in its right measure. Live an authentic experience of the gastronomic culture of the territory and take home a tin of paprika from La Vera.

We propose an educational and fun experience in Marchagaz, in a rural and natural environment. You will learn about the cultivation of manzanilla cacereña, which you will find in Trasierra-Tierras de Granadilla, and from the hand of a professional family in the world of olive oil, internationally awarded and above all passionate about their work and the culture of oil.
You will learn about the culture of the olive tree and EVOO through an oil tasting course, where you will learn to taste, to know the positive and negative attributes of an oil and to enjoy its aromas and sensations. You will visit two oil mills, one ancient and one modern, learning from them how oil is extracted, their differences and coincidences over time.
And the final touch: a visit to an organic olive grove together with a livestock farm, a real treasure, a sample of the symbiosis between agriculture and livestock to make a traditional crop sustainable.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Can you imagine if the Vetons and Romans raised their heads and saw you arriving to their territories aboard an electric bicycle? What would they think? We will never know, but we are sure they would try one and they would set out to discover these fantastic lands.
We propose a beautiful e-bike route of moderate level, accompanied by a local guide who will show you the path of history along which you will ride. You will start in the Roman Villa of Cáparra with a visit to the interpretation centre and the most desired photo at the emblematic Arch of Cáparra. You will continue through the extensive pastures of Oliva de Plasencia, where you will meet with a free-ranging cattle ranch and enjoy an interpretation of the pastures of the wastelands. An ideal location to see the Ambroz Valley surrounded by holm oaks and cork oaks. From the pasture, you will pass to the oak forest until you reach the low mountain, in Jarilla. You will get higher and higher surrounded by oak trees until you reach the Piedras Labradas, an ancient Vetón settlement where you will learn about its history. You will discover what the city of Cáparra meant to them and how the Romans encouraged them to leave their settlement and join them and their religious beliefs.
It is time to relax and contemplate the spectacular views of the Ambroz Valley and Tierras de Granadilla while enjoying a picnic of local products. A totally personalized experience that will make the north of Extremadura your unforgettable getaway.

Would you like to enjoy an educational and fun day, and be able to take a title home? Panthos, a Sailing School approved by the Directorate General of the Merchant Navy will teach you how to sail boats and jet skis and you will get your sailing license in just 6 hours, without the need to pass any exams.
In the north of Extremadura, far from the coastal areas and surrounded by natural beauty, you will fall in love with the waters of the Gabriel y Galán reservoir, calm waters surrounded by a spectacular environment, a haven of peace. Through this apprenticeship you will be able to pilot pleasure boats up to 6 meters and jet skis, for daytime navigation and up to 2 miles from the coast.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Do you know the Heidi trail? A forest track that surrounds the mountains of Hervás with great views of the whole Ambroz Valley. Its peculiar name is due to the fact that when the track was opened, it coincided with the popular cartoon series ”Heidi”.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will make a circular route of 36 km and 3 hours on an electric bike that starts in Hervás and that will take you to the top of the Sierra. You will be able to enjoy a forest of chestnut trees, oaks, pine forests and high mountains. You will ride at a maximum altitude of about 1400 meters, coinciding with the Retuertas viewpoint. You will keep riding at this altitude for several kilometres enjoying the views of the Ambroz Valley, the Gabriel y Galán reservoir and the Pinajarro. Passing by the Salto de La Chorrera you will be able to perceive the sound of the falling water, a pleasure for the senses. You will descend until you reach the Vía Verde de la Plata and finish again in Hervás.

A circular route in electric BTT starting from Jarilla, a beautiful village located at the foot of Trasierra. A medium-high difficulty route with a 600 m ascent that will take you into the Extremadura pasture with its stone huts or sheepfolds, contemplating postcard landscapes with beautiful natural viewpoints as you ascend the mountain, to reach 1,000 m altitude on the hill, where the ruins of a Roman temple built on a Vetton sanctuary, the temple of Piedras Labradas, can be found.
Dream landscapes, holm oaks and oaks will accompany you until you reach the Collado of Piedras Labradas, a plain full of granite boulders, some carved by the primitive settlers of the area, and fenced with stone ashlars with the remains of the ancient Roman temple.
