When the water recedes, the Pontón emerges in all its majestic splendour. Capture unique moments with your camera and find inspiration in the natural beauty of the surrounding environment.
Thanks to a concerted effort to preserve the region’s heritage, this historic landmark in Guijo de Granadilla remains intact today.
Before it was rebuilt and relocated, the bridge crossed over the Alagón River. However, when the Guijo de Granadilla Reservoir was created in the 1970s, the bridge was submerged and ultimately transferred to a new location, stone by stone.
When the water level in the reservoir is very low, you can see the Pontoon in its entirety and the rest of the structure that anchors it to the ground.
Make the most of your visit to Guijo de Granadilla and take in the breathtaking views of this magnificent natural landscape.
