WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Pinajarro is undoubtedly one of the symbols of Hervás. We encourage you to climb with an expert mountain guide to one of the highest mountains in Extremadura with 2099 meters. This magnificent granite mass greets imposingly at the entrance of Hervás exhibiting its grandeur showing a harmonious landscape of high mountains.
A linear route of 18 km with a long and gradual ascent that will test you physically and mentally, making an effort that will be pleasantly rewarded with the crowning of its summit. You will pass through the Chorrera de Hervás, the Pista Heidi, the Prados de las Fuentes, the Canchalitos, the Pinajarro peak and Las Charcas Verdes.
Spectacular views of the mountains and valleys of northern Extremadura await you; steep and rugged mountains and glacial cirques on the north-eastern slopes of the Sierra de Béjar and Candelario. And to regain strength at the end of the route, nothing better than a great snack with local products!

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will live a unique experience at your own pace on a mountain bike, e-bike or even electric tricycle, from Hervás to Plasencia. A 40 kilometres route easy to do that combines smooth, flat and downhill sections. An exciting adventure to discover the Ambroz Valley, located at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos. An explosion of landscapes of snowy mountains in winter, beautiful forests that show their ocher and red colours in autumn, plains, pastures where cattle graze, fields and fruit trees. An ecological variety where with luck you will be able to see cranes in winter.
You will leave Hervás, a fairy-tale village, towards Jarilla, passing through mountains of chestnut and oak trees, to give way to pastures of holm oaks and cork oaks. You will cross bridges, go through tunnels of the old railroad line, until you reach Plasencia where Palmira will be waiting for you to pick up your bikes and accompany you to Hervás.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

A downhill route of 24 km connecting with the Ambroz valley, an opportunity for bike and nature lovers to discover the wonders of the valley along the Vía Verde de la Plata, former route of the Seville – Gijón railroad.
The Bicicletas Colmer team will take you from the charming village of Hervás to the starting point in Béjar, where you will start a pleasant descent by bike along the Vía Verde de la Plata, a route that passes through the old railroad stations of Béjar, Puerto de Béjar, Baños de Montemayor and Hervás. The descent is 10 km flat from Béjar to Puerto de Béjar and the rest of the kilometres to Hervás you will enjoy a gentle and pleasant descent.
During the route you will find viewpoints and unique landscapes of forests and rivers, old railroad tunnels, picnic areas with fountains to take a break and unbeatable views of the town of Hervás crowned by the Pinajarro peak.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We offer you an interpreted kayak route through the Baños de Montemayor reservoir, an ideal place to rest, alternating baths in the thermal waters with visits to the monuments and routes through its surroundings.
You will observe the varied vegetation found on the slopes of the Ambroz Valley: the chestnut tree in the lower part and the oak in the higher areas supporting the winter cold.
In addition, you will discover the Pinajarro peak, the highest you will see from the reservoir, and at the bottom of the valley you will contemplate the town of Hervás, a town with a great patrimonial and natural wealth.
The kayak tour will allow you to enjoy a nature sport in a simple way and without the need for experience. An ideal activity to cool off on hot days, discover inaccessible corners or simply to practice a complete sport in a quiet place.
