Take a guided tour of this house-museum which preserves the immaterial legacy left behind by the poet to Extremadura.

Located in the town of Guijo de Granadilla, this house-museum is dedicated to the life and work of the poet José María Gabriel y Galán, one of the foremost figures of Extremadura’s regionalist literature.

The house was restored and refurbished to showcase his life and legacy. Inside, personal belongings, documents, photographs and literary works by the poet are on display, as well as furniture and possessions that recreate the atmosphere of the period in which he lived.

The museum offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the life and work of this outstanding poet, as they simultaneously enjoy the rural and cultural environment of Guijo de Granadilla and the surrounding area.
