La Chorrera Waterfall
If you’re looking for a place where nature is on display in all its splendour, La Chorrera is the perfect destination. With a 30-meter high waterfall, this idyllic spot is surrounded by lush vegetation on the slopes of the majestic Pico Pinajarro, very close to the source of the Ambroz River.
Follow the PR-CC 36 La Chorrera trail from Hervás and revel in the natural beauty as you go. The waterfall appears majestically at the end of the trail following a zigzagging ascent.
Cool off with a dip at the base of the waterfall and feel the energy of the water in a fascinating environment.

The Pools of Charcas Verdes
The Charcas Verdes are a group of natural pools among the rocks, formed by the waters of the Ambroz River in Hervás. Three of them are especially popular in summer, all located near the Fábrica de la Luz (a mini-power plant). These pools formed by the crystalline waters are located on the path to La Chorrera, an impressive waterfall that originates at the source of the Ambroz River in the Sierra de Hervás.
The road that leads to the Charcas Verdes is not a particularly difficult one, since it’s paved, although there is some elevation gain, especially from the Fábrica de la Luz onward.
Explore the green ponds and natural pools, discover the flora and fauna surrounded by nature and enjoy its crystal clear waters in summer. A natural paradise.
