WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The route of the Chorrera and Charcas Verdes is one of the most beautiful to do in the area of the Ambroz Valley.
A short and fun route that combines the lush natural heritage with the history of the town of Hervás. Together with your mountain guide, you will start a 5.5km circular route through the lush oak forest; following the path used for more than 100 years for the maintenance of the canal. You will come across the Arroyo Forero and the Ambroz river that fed water to the old hydraulic power station of Marinejo that provided and still provides electricity to Hervás.
Step by step and admiring the beauty of the landscape, you will reach the waterfall of La Chorrera with more than 15 meters high. After a rest and observation and interpretation of the environment, you will continue your way until you reach the Charcas Verdes, natural pools naturally excavated by water in the hard granite, where you can enjoy its crystalline and purifying waters. A picturesque route known among the locals for its beauty and importance for the village!
