WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will start a simple 5 km hiking route from the Plaza de Toros of Hervás, a fairy-tale village in the Ambroz Valley. Accompanied by professional monitors you will enter one of the most emblematic forests of the valley, the Castañar Gallego, in which its state of maturity and conservation will allow you to enjoy the nocturnal life that houses, being accompanied by their guardians of the night, the bats.
In the forest of Castañar Gallego, declared a protected landscape, you will learn about the importance of this forest, one of the most important and best preserved in southern Europe. You will discover the quality of the skies; we will learn about the relevance of light pollution for the conservation of our natural environments and you will see the nocturnal fauna.
At the end of the tour, you will recover your strength with a tasting of local products and drinks. With your eyesight already adapted to the night, you will discover the quality of the skies of Hervás enjoying the planets, constellations and the deep sky through the astronomical telescopes and the magnificent explanations of the guide specialized inastronomy.
