Getting to know the guts of a paprika factory from the hand of its owner, Juan Ramón.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In the region of Ambroz-Cáparra Valley, the plant brought by Cristóbal Colón from America on his third voyage adapted perfectly to the area’s particular microclimate.
Juan Ramón will welcome you in his paprika factory to show you the process of production and elaboration of paprika. You will see up close the machine room where this delicious traditional condiment of Extremadura is produced, here you will discover the process of grinding and final packaging. At Pimentón Santo Domingo, their harvests are scrupulously selected throughout the entire process, from the moment of sowing to the subsequent packaging, taking care of the traditional cultivation techniques, both in fertilizers, harvesting and smoke drying, using the most advanced production methods, to purify the final product to the maximum.
The aroma denotes subtleties of smoked and finally its flavour is refined and evolving, stimulating the palate in its right measure. Live an authentic experience of the gastronomic culture of the territory and take home a tin of paprika from La Vera.
