You will discover the pleasure of aromatherapy through cocoa. Cocoa due to its high concentration of nutrients (iron, calcium, vitamin A, B1, C, D and E) gives the skin a deep hydration. Luis, master miller, will welcome you in his oil mill surrounded by a magnificent olive grove, and he will reveal the secrets of manzanilla cacereña, the native variety of olive from the north of the province of Cáceres. You will learn about the crushing of the olives and the extraction process of this intense and tasty oil.
Finally, a pleasant test for the senses, a sensory test, you will do a blind tasting of various oils to learn to taste and differentiate the balance between bitter and spicy, and its aromas: almond, banana and apple, with slight notes of grass. We will combine small stretches of rapids, where your skills as canoeists are the most important, with more scenic stretches, where you can navigate and enjoy the landscape and nature. You will start your route in Béjar and take the Greenway towards Plasencia, passing through Hervás. You will cycle along a route of 70 kilometres, cycling through forests and green meadows where holm oaks and cork oaks are replaced by ash and deciduous trees. In the distance you can see the whole mountain range on which the region of Las Hurdes and Trasierra Tierras de Granadilla rest. You will continue through the crown jewel of European ecosystems, the Extremadura meadows. Endless meadows of holm oaks where cattle graze freely. Birds will fly over your bikes, vultures, eagles, white and black storks, kites, kestrels… The Greenway will take you through the Valcorchero Protected Landscape, an ecosystem of cork oaks that grow among impressive granite boulders. You will have views of the ancient Vetón castro (Celtic settlement) of Berrocalillo, where many valuable historical artefacts have been found. You will arrive in Plasencia accompanied by the river between impressive granite cliffs that will accompany you for a few kilometres. There you will be picked up and taken back to the starting point in Hervás. Enjoy the surroundings and the unique experience with the comfort of an electric bike!

Begoña and Francisco are waiting for you in Segura de Toro, a charming village in the Ambroz Valley. Together you will prepare and taste three dishes of traditional cuisine from Ambroz to Cáparra with local products and a good wine from Extremadura.
You will learn how to cook migas extremeñas in the style of Segura de Toro, you won’t find migas like this in the rest of Extremadura! The next dish will be goat or kid stew, traditional of the region, and finally you will prepare delicious potatoes “revolconas” with bacon or the typical potatoes “meneás” of the Ambroz Valley.
You will discover the history of each dish and its relationship with the traditions and customs of the local people while Begoña tells you legends of the locality and may even recite a poem by Gabriel y Galán in Castilian, the dialect of the territory. Enrique, an expert biologist, invites you to an environmental interpretation of an authentic Extremadura meadow and the functioning of an organic farming of cows and pigs. A unique experience that you cannot miss during your visit to Trasierra-Tierras de Granadilla. The meadow is a unique ecosystem in the centre-west of the Iberian Peninsula made by the hand of man, and is made up of holm oaks and cork oaks, wetlands, lagoons and streams that provide an enormous biodiversity to the environment, whose value deserves to be recognised and transmitted.
Enrique will welcome you at his farm with coffee and infusions to make, aboard a picturesque trailer, a route through the beautiful meadow. You will learn how the environment is maintained and you will see cows of native breeds and Iberian pigs in their natural state.
