WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Begoña and Francisco are waiting for you in Segura de Toro, a charming village in the Ambroz Valley. Together you will prepare and taste three dishes of traditional cuisine from Ambroz to Cáparra with local products and a good wine from Extremadura.
You will learn how to cook migas extremeñas in the style of Segura de Toro, you won’t find migas like this in the rest of Extremadura! The next dish will be goat or kid stew, traditional of the region, and finally you will prepare delicious potatoes “revolconas” with bacon or the typical potatoes “meneás” of the Ambroz Valley.
You will discover the history of each dish and its relationship with the traditions and customs of the local people while Begoña tells you legends of the locality and may even recite a poem by Gabriel y Galán in Castilian, the dialect of the territory. Broaden your gastronomic knowledge and learn new stories in Segura de Toro!
