Located in the municipality of Guijo de Granadilla and surrounded by the waters of the Gabriel y Galán Reservoir, the name reflects the fact that the building is a circular ring-shaped structure measuring 200 meters in diameter that stands out architecturally for its avant-garde and minimalist style. With over 5,000 m² of facilities in an extraordinary natural setting, this National Centre of Reference for the Professional Family of Physical Activity and Sport stands out as a benchmark in the fields of sport, sport tourism, and nature tourism. It is an ideal setting for practicing a wide variety of disciplines in harmony with the natural environment.

Designed by Extremadura native and architect José María Sánchez García, it has received numerous national and international awards.

In 2024, it was awarded the Green Sport Flag for sustainability by the Spanish Sports Association in recognition of its commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability through sport.
