The Vía de la Plata Hostel is located in the former freight dock of the Hervás railway station. The enormous windows, through which the freight from the trains was unloaded, opens directly onto the Vía Verde. This trail follows the old railway line that passed through Hervás, tracing the historic Plasencia-Astorga route. Nowadays it is one of the busiest trails in the Ambroz Valley, where you can meet people from all over the world doing all kinds of sports, hiking, cycling, etc.
Cafeteria Vía de la Plata Hervás has a common room, terrace, restaurant, bar and complementary Wi-Fi throughout. The hostel has a total of 20 bunk beds grouped into five different compartments with 2, 4 or 5 beds each, all with shared bathrooms equipped with showers. The restaurant offers traditional seasonal meals prepared onsite.
Since it opened in August 2023, it offers weekly live music and collaborates with a local bike rental company.
The main square of the village (La Corredera) is 300 metres away.
