Baños de Montemayor Spa Resort
Enjoy the thermal circuits, experience the Roman baths, or pamper your skin with white mud treatments. Relax with hydromassage baths, contrast showers, the circulatory walkway, the ice fountain, the mist room, and finish off in the magnificent thermal pool.
The complex comprises two different buildings, the main building being the most modern one. The structure resembles that of a ship and it is here that most of the wellness treatments take place. The building was recently renovated. It features newly built pools, a Roman bath circuit (inside a spectacular ancient cistern) that offers a variety of therapeutic applications and practices from the past.
The oldest building is the one that houses the Roman baths. Remains of small chests, bathtubs, basins, coins, altars, and Latin inscriptions were found during the renovation work, confirming that the Hispano-Roman population was very keen to take advantage of these medicinal mineral waters. This building houses the spring from which the thermal waters flow.
The Baños de Montemayor Spa Museum was created within the vaults of the ancient building to introduce visitors to the history of the spa. The admission fee to the museum includes a complementary visit to the Roman baths.
The complex has been declared a Historic-Artistic Monument.

Termal Resort El Salugral
“El Salugral” hotel and spa resort is a modern tourist complex equipped with the latest in health, beauty, anti-stress and fatigue treatments.
From its location in an idyllic spot on the banks of the Ambroz River one can observe the majestic mountain landscape which is connected to Hervás by a bike path.
The treatments offered at the spa include thermal baths, water jets, aerosols, mists, massages, Vichy massages, parafango, hydroactive pools, peels, and body wraps, among others.
The spa’s medicinal mineral water was declared a cultural heritage asset in 1889. These hypothermal waters (17ºC upwelling temperature) are rich in bicarbonate, lithium, fluoride, and sodium-sulphur compounds. They are recommended for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatic disorders, and chronic respiratory ailments. They also have a beautifying effect on the skin.
