A must-see on your visit to Hervás is the original façade of the convent and its spectacular Baroque altarpieces.
Former convent of the Trinitarians founded in 1664 by two descendants of Jewish converts.
Its crimson-coloured façade, an almost exact replica of the façade of the Church of St. Nicholas of Bari in Valladolid, breaks with the dominance of white façades on homes in the Jewish Quarter. The interior features a central nave with four sections covered by a barrel vault. The 17th-century Baroque style carvings on the main and side retables in the transept are notable for their exceptional craftsmanship and gilded finish.
In 2001, the former monastic cell and the theological-educational space were converted into the Hospedería Valle del Ambroz, a four-star hotel that belongs to the Network of Hospederías (historic guesthouses) in Extremadura.
