WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will fall in love with one of the best-preserved forests in southern Europe, the
Galician Chestnut grove of the Ambroz Valley, declared a Protected Landscape. Through a
gentle circular route of 5km you will learn, from the hand of your expert guide in nature,
the variety of trees that treasures this jewel of botany with more than 260 hectares of
feral chestnut grove.
A pleasant walk where you will learn and listen to the sounds of the forest, you will enter
a protected environment to enjoy the biodiversity and tranquillity. You will discover the
secrets of the chestnut tree through a biological interpretation of the chestnut tree, you
will observe a chestnut tree with more than 150 years old, as well as a small group of
millenary chestnut trees. On your return, you will have the opportunity to walk along a
section of the Heidi trail, learn about its history, the reproduction of the chestnut tree
during the flowering and fruiting seasons.
