Baroque Hermitages: St. Bartholemew and St. Anthony of Padua

Both are part of the religious heritage of Villar de Plasencia

Visit these hermitages on 13 June and 24 to immerse yourself in the festive magic of the days when they are adorned to welcome their faithful.

The Baroque style hermitage of St. Anthony, is a quadrangular building with entranced flanked by two columns. Inside, where simplicity predominates, there is an image of the saint. Very close to this building, on the old Camino Real, there is a bridge that was built in 1792. The festivities in honour of the saint take place on 13 June.

The hermitage of St. Bartholemew, also a Baroque style structure, is located on the outskirts of the town. Some of the festivities in honour of the town’s patron saint take place here on 24 August.
