Natural Swimming Holes and Bathing Areas

The best summer plan

Stay cool this summer in the Ambroz Valley’s natural pools, gorges and swimming holes.

The Ambroz Valley is all about water. There are several natural swimming holes or bathing areas in the valley basin. Examples of these include Casas del Monte and Segura de Toro, where the pools are fed by spring water flowing down from the Ancha and Madrigala gorges.

Abadía, Baños de Montemayor, Casas del Monte, Gargantilla and Segura de Toro all have these natural swimming holes. Not sure which one to pick? Visit the section titled “Jump in!” to find out about the available services.

The crystalline water is often cold. Despite their location in the middle of nature, they typically have all the amenities you need for an amazing day trip. The pools and bathing areas are easily accessible so you won’t have any trouble getting to them.

Did you know?

The natural swimming hole in Abadía has a spacious sandy area, perfect for those who enjoy sunbathing. There is also a children’s swimming area. También hay una zona especial para que se bañen los más pequeños.
